Title of the document

Clarence High School, a Christian minority institution founded in 1914 by the British Missionaries, Alfred and Walter Redwood, and named after their own school in Somerset, UK. The School was established with a vision to foster the complete and wholesome intellectual, spiritual, moral, physical and social development of every child, based on Christian values. Starting with 17 children in Infants & Std.1, the visionaries worked hard to bring the school to her current standing. Many teachers have dedicated their whole lives to serving in this institution and alumni all over the world remember with much appreciation, the influence of such godly men and women in their lives.

In Clarence, we believe that the purpose of education is not to fill the minds of students with facts… it is to teach them to think for themselves and for others.

Vocal and instrumental classes provide the perfect avenue to develop an appreciation of this fine art from a very young age.

The library occupies a very important place in school. It is the center of the intellectual and social activities of the school. It caters to all the academic and social needs of our students.

Student Welfare Service

Infirmary, counselling, Scouts and Guides etc. are the student welfare services available on campus.

Welcome to Clarence High School, a unique blend of tradition, excellence & quality Christian education. For the last 100 years, Clarence High School has provided yeoman service to the community of Bangalore City by offering a high standard of Bible based education. Clarencians all over the world have testified that their excellence in every sphere of society is in no small measure due the values and foundation they have received in their school years.

  • Seeing how Clarence has stood out in the field of education as well as extra-curricular activities personally I foresee Clarence as becoming a leading school in activities such as MUN(Especially how an inter school MUN might be introduced), Sports, etc.

  • "This institution was totally responsible in molding me to my current status. Firstly it instilled in me a secular spirit which is vital for your future. The values, interactive communications with different cultures and walks of life and the command of English in particular inculcated in me , stood me in great stead during my entire career "
