Teaching staff include professional personnel directly involved in teaching students, such as classroom teachers and special education teachers. They also include department chairs whose duties involve some teaching. Teaching staff do not include non-professional personnel who support teachers in providing instruction to students, such as teachers’ aides and other paraprofessional staff.
