Job Summary:

Promote Kannada language proficiency and cultural literacy through engaging, skill-based
instruction for learners across primary/secondary grades.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Teach Kannada as a second language using interactive, learner-centred methods
  • Build reading fluency, writing ability, grammar fundamentals, and vocabulary development
  • Plan assessments, track progress, and support varied learner needs
  • Encourage appreciation of Kannada literature and cultural context through activities

Education and Work Experience Requirements:

  • M.A. in Kannada (preferred)/B.A. in Kannada + B.Ed. (Mandatory)
  • 3 - 6 years relevant teaching experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Kannada language instruction with strong communication skills
  • Ability to plan for mixed-ability classrooms and support language acquisition effectively
