Job Summary:

Clarence High School is seeking an experienced and dynamic English Teacher to handle Classes 6 to 8. The teacher will be responsible for building a strong foundation in English language and literature, enhancing communication skills, and preparing students for higher academic challenges in line with the ICSE curriculum.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver English lessons as per the ICSE curriculum for Classes 6 to 8.
  • Focus on strengthening reading comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, creative writing, and spoken English.
  • Engage students in literary activities such as debates, elocution, drama, and storytelling.
  • Incorporate innovative teaching methods and digital tools to make learning interactive and effective.
  • Design assignments, projects, and assessments to evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Guide students in developing analytical thinking, creativity, and fluency in written and spoken communication.
  • Maintain accurate records of academic performance and share updates with parents/guardians.
  • Collaborate with colleagues for curriculum planning, school programmes, and cross-curricular activities.
  • Actively participate in staff meetings, training workshops, and co-curricular events.

Education and Work Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English / Education (B.Ed. mandatory).
  • Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in the ICSE curriculum at the middle or secondary school level.
  • Strong command of spoken and written English.
  • Excellent classroom management and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate adolescents in their learning journey.
  • Familiarity with integrating technology into classroom teaching.
  • Dedication, creativity, and passion for teaching English.
