114 THE CLARENCIAN 2024-2025The Science Department conducted the morning assembly on 5th June 2024 to celebrate World Environment Day. This special day also marked the beginning of the academic year 2024%u201325. The programme aimed to create awareness among students about the delicate balance of nature and the importance of protecting and nurturing our environment. The theme of the assembly was %u201cJourney to a Greener Future%u201d, and it was conducted by the students of Classes 9 and 10, with Melvin Jacob as the emcee.The assembly began with the hymn %u201cAll Things Bright and Beautiful,%u201d reminding everyone of God%u2019s wonderful creation and our responsibility to care for it. A 13-member choir presented %u201cWhat a Wonderful World,%u201d followed by a graceful dance performance that beautifully portrayed the harmony between humans and nature. A thought-provoking and humorous skit conveyed an important message that no superhero can save our planet; instead, change lies in our hands through teamwork and collective effort.
