122 THE CLARENCIAN 2024-2025Albert Barrow Memorial All India Inter School Creative Writing CompetitionThe Council conducts the Albert Barrow Memorial All-India InterSchool Creative Writing Competition every year, tentatively in the month of July. For the selection of students, an open invitation is given to ICSE and ISC students in the month of June. Students submit their names and the selection process is conducted in school. The best essay is selected for each category. The second-best essays are also selected so that there are backups for the contestants who are sent for the final essay competition. The essay writing competition is held in different centres as selected by the Council. The topic is announced at 9:30 a.m. all across the country to maintain uniformity. The preparation time is half an hour and one hour is given for writing.The creative piece should be approximately 750-1000 words for Category I (ISC) and 500-750 words for Category II (ICSE).For the year 2024-25, Alicia Iqbal of 12 Science was the contestant for Category I (ISC) and Samara Elise Prabhu of Class 10B was the candidate for Category II (ICSE).Mrs. Anjana RojiConvenor %u2014 Albert Barrow Memorial All-India InterSchool Creative Writing Competition 122 CELEBRATING GOD%u2019S GOODNESS
