192 THE CLARENCIAN 2024-2025I understood that even he wanted to put all the drama behind us and focus on our respective goals.Our actions were so impactful that they ended the fierce rivalry between the fanbases of both teams. It was one of the rare times I encountered someone I once disliked showing me genuine compassion and kindness.I felt a surge of fear as the fans stared me down. Amazingly, my team gathered around me, ready to back me up in case of a fight. All of a sudden, out of the blue, Lucas put himself between the fans and me. He calmly persuaded them not to cause any harm and toreturn to their seats%u2014they willingly obeyed. I was stunned by such an act of kindness from the person who had once tried to end my career.
