220 THE CLARENCIAN 2024-2025Daniya Fatima BaigClass 8CI quickly went and closed the first-class door. But before I could close it completely, I was shot in the shoulder. Despite the pain, I managed to close it. Then I ran back and closed the rear door. The terrorists were banging on it and shooting continuously. I was running and, in the process, slipped and fell. By the time I got up, they had already opened the doors. They were about to shoot me, but suddenly someone pulled me out and closed the door. Army personnel and commandos were already on the scene. There was heavy gunfire from both sides. Firefighters and the emergency agents were already there. They took me to a safer place and treated my wounds. Four terrorists were killed and the remaining two were arrested.I was sent to the hospital. I met my parents and hugged them tightly. They were crying along with me. The experience on the airplane was a nightmare. The blood, the gunshots and the eyes of the dead person still haunt me. I still feel sad for not being able to save the cabin crew. I wish I could have saved him%u2026During my kindergarten years, I had achieved a lot, which brought great joy to my life. I still remember all the prizes and medals I won in kindergarten as if it were yesterday, and deeply cherish those memories. During my journey through junior school, I won prizes, particularly in sports, and received the Honour Roll throughout. During my sports sessions in junior school, I had fallen down several times. This bad experience discouraged me; however, it was not enough to pull me down and give up entirely on sports. During my fifth standard, I could not do much because I was imprisoned in my home due to COVID%u201319, which made me a bit lazy. My middle school journey introduced me to numerous changes. Studies had become challenging due to the enormous jump from the fifth standard to the sixth standard. I had to learn a variety of brand-new concepts, which were totally different from those of the fifth standard. During my seventh standard, I was a recipient of the Flack Memorial Scripture Memory Contest and Honour Roll prizes. Additionally, I had participated in many outdoor sports events. These form my core memories in Clarence High School, which will be fondly engraved in my heart.110th Anniversary of My SchoolMy school is celebrating its 110th anniversary, bringing along with it an air of excitement. My memories with this school go way back. I remember the first day of school, when I had to answer questions from the principal to get enrolled in kindergarten.David Tharian ThomasClass 8C
