72 72 CELEBRATING GOD%u2019S GOODNESS THE CLARENCIAN 2024-2025Sports Day, the first major event, tested our resilience. Despite top athletes nearing graduation and stiff competition, Barton emerged as Overall Champions. We also won the Best Drill Display Award, Tug-of-War (Girls), and Champion Relay Trophy, with six athletes receiving Individual Champion titles%u2014a triumphant day, thanks to God%u2019s faithfulness.CLMUN, the final inter-house academic event, required research, articulation, and determination. Many Barton members with no prior experience stepped forward, honed their skills, and represented the House with confidence, earning First Place for the second consecutive year.CLADS took place during a busy week alongside Teachers%u2019 Day celebrations. Despite tight schedules, Barton members showed exceptional commitment. The graduating batches contributed significantly, with Mark Abraham winning Best Actor in Dramatics. Though Barton finished Second overall%u2014just 20 points shy of First%u2014individual achievements reflected unity and perseverance.In Inter-House Public Speaking, Barton secured Third Place despite limited participation. In Inter-House Sports, the boys%u2019 basketball team, led by Aaryan Prakash and Evan Christiano Joseph, staged an 18-point comeback against Redwood but finished Second in the finals. The girls%u2019 basketball team, captained by Rebecca Thomas, narrowly lost to Wilcox in the final. Our football and throwball teams displayed grit, securing Third Place in their events. Overall, Barton placed Second, tied with Redwood.I am grateful to God, our House Counsellors Mrs. Ramolla Rebeiro and Mrs. Karuna Singh, as well as Shayma Mashia and Mrs. Karenza Robson, for their support.
