The Boy from Long Ago Once upon a time, a long, long time ago, when our world was still young, there lived a boy. Now, this boy was no ordinary boy. Oh no, this boy was special. You see, he lived in a time when giants still roamed the Earth and men lived in fear of the unknown. He lived in a small village on top of a hill, surrounded by tall walls to keep all beasts%u2014wild and magical%u2014out. But this boy did not fear the beasts. He would sneak out of the village and go into the woods to see all the wondrous and amazing things that took place there. He did not fear the beasts because he was half beast himself %u2014 half pixie to be exact. Now, do you think that pixies are tiny little beings with wings? No, pixies are creatures that look like humans, the only difference being their pointed ears and longer lifespans. They possess an enormous amount of strength and are incredibly agile. One could go their whole life without seeing a pixie, because they are only found if they want to be found. But getting back to the boy, he was considered peculiar by the townsfolk, who found his lack of fear disturbing, though they did not refuse his help in carrying heavy loads.This is a story about the boy%u2019s adventure %u2014 one of the many adventures he had had throughout his life.
