78 THE CLARENCIAN 2024-2025Wilcox made a strong start at the Flack Memorial Scripture Memory Contest, earning Second Place overall and setting a positive tone for the year. In English Public Speaking, Yohan Jacob Zachariah secured Second Place in the ISC Debate, and Shrreya N. won Third Place in the ICSE Debate. Although Wilcox placed Fourth overall, the experience motivated us to improve. In Hindi Public Speaking, Kunduru Venkata Sree Yudhika earned Second Place, helping the House secure Third Place overall. Our Kannada Public Speaking participants showcased exceptional talent, securing First Place and highlighting Wilcox%u2019s linguistic versatility.Inter-House Sports reflected our perseverance and team spirit. The girls%u2019 basketball team clinched First Place against Barton, while the boys%u2019 team placed Fourth. In football, the boys narrowly lost in a penalty shootout, finishing Fourth. The girls%u2019 throwball team advanced to the finals and secured Second Place, losing to Theobald, demonstrating resilience and sportsmanship.At CLMUN, Wilcox delegates impressed with diplomacy and research. Susan Alice Jacob earned the Honourable Delegate Award, while Ronell Philip Thomas, Brian Jonathan Anil, Keziah Arland, Judith Deborah Vincent, and double delegates Nathen John Vinod and Ezekiel Chougule received Commendable Delegate Awards. Limited participation led to Fourth Place overall.CLADS saw Classical Dance and Mad Ads win First Place, while Folk Dance and A cappella earned Second. Yohan Jacob Zachariah claimed the Individual Championship for the second consecutive year.Inspired by our mascot Kobe Bryant, the Annual Sports Day highlighted grit and teamwork. Wilcox won First Place in boys%u2019 Tug-of-War and girls%u2019 relays, Athena Ami Sanjoy earned the Individual Championship, and Wilcox secured Third Place overall.I thank our House Counsellors, Prefect Body, and every Wilcoxite for their dedication and support.
